Monday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Prices Fall Further

 OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: Unchanged
SOYBEANS: 1 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $1.90 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $1.30 Higher
DOW JONES: 276 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 39 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $0.40 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

The block cheese price declined 4.75 cents closing at $1.6450 with one load traded. The barrel cheese price declined 6.50 cents closing at $1.6250 with three loads traded. The dry whey price remained unchanged at 45 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are being hit hard again with contracts from 9 to 41 cents lower. The May contract is being hit the hardest. The butter price declined by 4 cents closing at $2.3025 with three loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk is unchanged at $1.1550 with no loads traded. Class IV futures have only traded in the April contract with futures 20 cents lower. Butter futures are 0.92 to 4.87 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.15 to 0.25 cent lower.
