Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Continues Lower

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 16 Lower
SOYBEANS: 7 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $6.20 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.47 Higher
DOW JONES: 199 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 110 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $3.17 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price declined 2.50 cents closing at $1.9725 with no loads traded. No buyers showed up to do any business. Barrel cheese price declined 3 cents closing at $1.7150 with two loads traded. There were no unfilled bids remaining at the close of spot trading. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 41.50 with no loads traded. Class III futures are again under pressure with futures unchanged to 23 cents lower. The last trade in front-month December was 3 cents higher, but that contract is now off the board as are all other December futures and options contracts. Butter price remained unchanged again at $2.38 with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price declined 1.25 cents closing at $1.31 with no loads traded. This is the lowest nonfat dry milk price since August 30, 2021. Class IV futures are 1-9 cents higher with the only activity in the October and November contracts. Butter futures are 1.00 cents lower to 0.35 cents higher. Dry whey futures are steady to 0.50 cents lower. Today was the last day to trade December futures and options.
