Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Update - Spot Prices Show Further Losses

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 4 Higher
SOYBEANS: 7 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $2.30 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $1.12 Lower
DOW JONES: 64 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 198 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $2.67 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price declined 2.75 cents, closing at $2.2625 with nine loads traded. Price initially fell to $2.2550 before buyers bid the price back up. This may signal a bottom might be in place where buyers may step back up to take advantage of the lower price. However, there was an uncovered offer for a load of blocks remaining at the closing price. Barrel price declined 1.75 cents, closing at $2.34 with no loads traded. Dry whey price declined 1.75 cents, ending at 56.75 with no loads traded. Price is now down to the lowest level since Sept. 22, 2021. Butter price slipped 0.50 cent, closing at $2.61 with three loads traded. This is the lowest price since Feb. 25. Grade A nonfat dry milk remained unchanged at $1.7350 with one load traded. Class III futures are unchanged to 22 cents lower. Class IV futures are unchanged to 28 cents lower. Butter futures are unchanged to 2.62 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.80 to 3.82 cents lower.
