Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Class III Higher

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

LIVE CATTLE: $0.275 Higher
DOW JONES: 295 Points Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

The block cheese price increased 0.5 cents to close at $1.3400 with 16 loads traded. The barrel cheese price remained unchanged at $1.4525 with no loads traded. There were eight bids and ne offer left remaining at the close. The dry whey price increased 1.5 cents, closing at 85.0 cents wth one load traded. Class III futures are 4 to 14 cents higher midday. The butter price fell another 2 cents, closing at $1.2900 with no loads traded. There were three unfilled bids and 38 uncovered offers remaining. Grade A nonfat dry milk increased 0.75 cents to close at $2.2550 with no loads traded. Class IV futures are 5 cents higher on the November contract with limited other trading. Butter futures are 1.35 to 3.05 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.45 cents higher on the October contract. Cheese futures are 0.04 to 1.4 cents higher. Nonfat dry milk futures are 0.4 to 1.975 cents higher.
