Thursday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Butter Keeps Climbing

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

The block cheese price traded 0.25 cents higher today, closing at $1.4775 with 4 loads traded. The barrel cheese price also went unchanged at $1.5325 with no loads traded. The dry whey price climbed 1 cent, closing at 75 cents with 1 load traded. Class III futures are 5 cents lower to 3 cents higher here at the midday point. The butter price was up 3.25 cents to close at $1.44 with 18 loads traded. There were 19 unfilled offers and 1 uncovered bid remaining at the close. Grade A nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.88 with 5 loads traded. Class IV futures are mixed from 14 cents higher to 3 cents lower. Butter futures are 2.75 to 3.025 cents higher. Dry whey futures are trading 1.7 to 0.35 cents lower. Cheese futures are 0.01 to 0.04 cents higher. Nonfat dry milk futures are 0.775 to 2.125 cents lower.
