Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Pulls Back to Move Product

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 3 Higher
SOYBEANS: Mixed
SOYBEAN MEAL: $0.24 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $0.15 Higher
DOW JONES: 498 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 72 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $0.86 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price fell 2.75 cents to $1.6325 with 10 loads traded. Cheese barrels fell 2.25 cents with no loads traded and only one offer remaining, closing at 1.6750. The dry whey price rallied another 2 cents today, closing at 75 cents with one load traded. There were two bids and one offer left standing at the close. Class III futures are 5 cents to 38 cents lower. The butter price pulled back a penny from Monday's rally, closing at $1.50 with three loads traded. There was one bid and five offers unfulfilled at the close. Grade A nonfat dry milk was up 1 cent at $1.1550 with one load traded. Class IV futures have not yet been traded. Butter futures are 2 cents lower to 0.10 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 0.125 cents lower to 1 cent higher. Cheese futures are 0.8 cent to 4.4 cents lower.
