MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:
Block cheese prices remained unchanged at $1.66 with one bid and one offer left unfulfilled. Cheese barrels fell 0.25 cents with no loads traded and only one offer remaining, closing at 1.6975. The dry whey price rallied 2 cents, closing at 73.00 cents with one load traded. Class III futures are 3 cents to 9 cents higher. The butter price increased 3.5 cents, closing at $1.510 with 18 loads traded. There were five bids and seven offers left standing at the close. Grade A nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.1450 with no loads traded. Class IV futures have not yet been traded. Butter futures are 2 cents lower to .10 cents higher. However, the two cents lower on the December contract is deceiving as it has not yet traded since the cash auction took place. They appear to be 2 to 3 cents higher by the bid/ask in live trade. Dry whey futures are 0.30 to 1.775 cents higher. Cheese futures are 0.1 cent lower to 0.3 cents higher.
