Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese and Butter Fall Back

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

The block cheese price declined 3.00 cents, closing at $1,6650 with four loads traded. The barrel cheese price declined 2.00 cents, closing at $1.68 with no loads traded. Only an offer remained in barrels as the seller could not find any buyers. The dry whey price jumped 3.00 cents, closing at 60.00 cents with two loads traded. Class III futures are mixed, ranging from 11 cents lower to 8 cents higher. The butter price declined 2.00 cents, closing at 2.0050 with 11 loads traded. The price moved to a new low for the year and the lowest since Dec. 3, 2021. Grade A nonfat dry milk declined 2.00 cents, closing at $1.20 with 12 loads traded. Class IV futures are 10 to 19 cents lower. Butter futures are 0.60 to 4.35 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.85 to 1.50 cents higher. Cheese futures are 1.10 cents lower to 0.10 cent higher.
