Thursday Midday Dairy Market Update - Class III Post Double-digit Losses

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

NASDAQ: 330 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $1.70 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

The block cheese price increased 2 cents, closing at $1.84 with 13 loads traded. There were three unfilled bids remaining at the close, with no uncovered offers remaining. This indicates there is support under the market. The offers to sell that came during spot trading were absorbed. The barrel cheese price decreased 1.75 cents, closing at $1.7825 with four loads traded. The dry whey price decreased 0.75 cent, closing at 54.25 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are 26 cents lower to 2 cents higher. The butter price remained unchanged at $2.3225 with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price slipped 0.25 cent, closing at 1.2150 with five loads traded. Class IV futures are 5 cents lower to 5 cents higher. Butter futures are 0.67 cent lower to 2.17 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 1.47 cents lower to 0.10 cent higher.
