Friday Midday Dairy Market Update - Block Cheese Falls Back

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

LIVE CATTLE: $0.15 Lower
DOW JONES: 131 Points Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

The block cheese price declined 2.25 cents, closing at $1.8175 with no loads traded. The barrel cheese price declined 1.25 cents, closing at 41.77 with no loads traded. There were two unfilled bids for blocks at lower prices, with the buyers showing no interest in bidding higher. There was one offer for a load of barrels, with no buyers showing up to do any business. The dry whey price remained unchanged at 54.25 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are 32 cents lower to 4 cents higher. The butter price gained 0.75 cent, closing at $2.33 with no loads traded. There were four unfilled bids and one uncovered offer remaining at the close. Grade A nonfat dry milk declined 0.75 cent, closing at $1.2075 with nine loads traded. Class IV futures have only traded in the June contract with the price 7 cents lower. Butter futures are 0.70 cent lower to 0.50 cent higher. Dry whey futures are unchanged.
