Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese and Butter Find Buying Interest

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

SOYBEANS: 3 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $2.00 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.77 Higher
DOW JONES: 67 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 15 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $1.81 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

The block cheese price increased by 3.25 cents, closing at $1.67 with three loads traded. The barrel cheese price increased 4.25 cents closing at $1.65 with three loads traded. This provided support to Class III futures but that support was confined to the December through April contracts. Traders are not convinced prices will trend higher and have limited upside potential. The dry whey price slipped 0.25 cent, closing at 72.50 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are 25 cents lower to 40 cents higher. Double-digit losses are seen in the fourth quarter of 2025 contracts. The butter price increased 2.75 cents, closing at $2.5225 with six loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk declined 2 cents, closing at $1.3750 with four loads traded. Despite the increase in the butter price. Class IV futures are steady to 18 cents lower. Butter futures are 2.25 to 4.95 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 0.25 cent lower to 1.85 cents higher. Tuesday is the last day to trade November futures and options with the Federal Order prices announced on Wednesday.
