Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Limited Trading Activity

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: $0.01 Lower
SOYBEANS: $0.10 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $5 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $0.45 Lower
DOW JONES: 576 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 274 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $1.21 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price remained unchanged at $1.5850 with three loads traded. Barrel cheese price increased by 0.50 cent with one load traded. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 52 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are 9 cents lower to 19 cents higher with very light trading activity. Butter price remained unchanged at $2.7125 with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price declined by 0.75 cent with eight loads traded. Class IV futures are 5-7 cents higher with only September and October contracts traded. Butter futures are 0.10 to 2.75 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 1.25 cents lower with only the April contract traded. With the lack of volatility, traders are unable to scalp the market to make a small profit from it.
