Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Prices Slip Back

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 2 Higher
SOYBEANS: 4 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $2.60 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.12 Lower
DOW JONES: 165 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 125 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $2.32 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price declined 2.50 cents closing at $1.4550 with one load traded. There were no bids or offers remaining at the close. Barrel cheese price declined 2.50 cents closing at $1.4150 with two loads traded. This was the least amount of load traded recently. The large number of unfilled bids that had been prevalent during spot trading was nowhere to be found today. There were one two unfilled bids and two uncovered offers at the close. Dry why price increased 1.50 cents closing at 40 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are 1-12 cents lower. Butter price remained unchanged at $2.6850 with no loads traded with no buyers are sellers showing up to do any business. Grade A nonfat dry milk price increased 0.75 cents closing at $1.18 with one load traded. Class IV futures are 6 cents lower to 13 cents higher. Butter futures are 2.50 cents lower to 0.20 cent higher. Dry whey futures are unchanged to 1.40 cents higher. FSA finally released the average soybean meal price for November and was $464.27, up $48.11 per ton from October. This puts the income over feed for November at $9.58 and the highest for the year.
