MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price declined 2 cents, closing at $1.4350 with two loads traded. Barrel cheese price declined 0.50 cent, closing at $1.41 with 14 loads traded. On Thursday, there were very few bids for barrels remaining at the close. Friday, there were 18 unfilled bids remaining at the close with most of those bids just slightly under the market. This provides some hope that there is support under the market, but it is somewhat negative that 14 loads were traded and price declined. Dry whey increased 0.50 cent, closing at 41.25 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures found no support from the bounce from the low in barrel trade or from the increase in dry whey price. Class III futures are 14 cents lower to 6 cents higher. Butter price declined 7.50 cents, closing at $2.5750 with four loads traded. There was an unfilled bid and uncovered offer remaining at the close. Grade A nonfat dry milk price declined 0.75 cent, closing at $1.1725 with nine loads traded. Class IV futures have not yet traded with wide bid and offers shown. Butter futures are 0.50 to 2.50 cent lower. Dry whey futures are unchanged to 0.25 cent higher.
