Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Butter Falls Back

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 5 Lower
SOYBEANS: 5 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $0.70 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $1.15 Higher
DOW JONES: 331 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 3 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $1.54 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price remained unchanged at $2.0350 with no loads traded. Barrel cheese price slipped 0.50 cents closing at $2.1850 with no loads traded. There was only an offer for a load of barrels remaining at the close with no buyers showing up to do business. Dry whey price declined 0.50 cent closing at 41 cents with one load traded. This put pressure on Class III futures with contracts ranging from 9-33 cents lower. Butter price declined 4.50 cents closing at $3.1850 with seven loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained unchanged at $1.53 with no loads traded. Class IV futures are 35 cents lower to 9 cents higher. Butter futures are 1.00–7.22 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.75–0.95 cents lower.
