MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Both block and barrel cheese prices remained unchanged at $2.06 with no loads traded. There was an uncovered offer in barrels at the closing price with no interest from buyers. Traders did not like the fact that price did not move higher and that buyers were nowhere to be found. This could mean prices might have reached a ceiling for now, which could bring sellers back into the market more aggressively. Butter price declined for the second consecutive day with a loss of 3.50 cents Thursday, closing at $3.1725 with one load traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price gained 3 cents with 15 loads traded. Dry whey price declined a penny, closing at 47.75 with no loads traded. Class III futures are unchanged to 35 cents lower. Class IV futures are 21 cents lower to 26 cents higher. Butter futures are unchanged to 3 cents lower. Dry whey futures are unchanged to 1.20 cents lower.
