Block cheese price declined 4 cents closing at $1.66 with no loads traded. Barrel cheese price declined 5.75 cents closing at $1.46 with no loads traded. There were offers for 3 loads of blocks and 2 loads of barrels remaining at the close with no buyers to be found. The fact that the gain of barrels Monday was short-lived is of concern. This likely sets the stage for further weakness Wednesday. Dry whey price increased a penny to 68.50 with one load traded. This moves dry whey to the highest price since April 20. Butter price remained unchanged at $1.95 with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained at $1.5450 with no loads traded. Class III futures are 34 cents lower to 5 cents higher with December talking the brunt of the selling with price near the low set on Sept. 23 and not very far above $17.00. Class IV futures are 6 cents to 10 cents lower. Butter futures are 0.12 cent to 2.50 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 0.25 cent to 0.75 cent lower.
