Block cheese price increased 0.25 cent closing at $1.81 with 1 load traded. Barrel cheese price declined 2 cents closing at $1.7675 with no loads traded. The fact that barrel price decline on an offer with no interest from a buyer, may indicate that further weakness is possible. Dry whey price increased 0.25 cent to 59.50 cents offsetting some of the loss of barrels. Butter price remained unchanged at $1.6975 with no loads traded. No one showed up to do any business. Grade A nonfat dry milk price increased 1.25 cents closing at $1.4425 with 3 loads traded. The strength of nonfat dry milk is providing good support to Class IV futures, which are 1 cent to 10 cents higher. Class III futures are 13 cents lower to 19 cents higher. Front-month October is the only contract showing a loss as it is mostly priced other than adjusting to the weekly AMS prices. Butter futures are 1.00 cent lower to 0.90 cent higher.
