Block cheese declined 2 cents closing at $1.76 with no loads traded. Price declined on an uncovered offer with no buyers showing up during spot trading. Barrel cheese price increased 2.25 cents closing at $1.5125 with 2 loads traded. Again, as with the past two days, the increase of barrels more than offset the decline of blocks, but futures are lower. Class III futures are 2 cents to 21 cents lower with September showing the greatest loss. September has declined each day this week even though the underlying cash calculation has actually increased slightly. Butter price slipped 0.50 cent ending at $1.6850 with 11 loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price declined 0.75 cent closing at $1.2525 with 2 loads traded. Dry whey increased 0.75 cent closing at 52.75 cents. Class IV futures have not yet traded. Butter futures are 0.85 cent to 2.25 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.25 cent to 0.95 cent lower.
