Block cheese price increased 1.50 cents, closing at $1.80 with three loads traded. Barrel cheese price increased 5 cents, closing at $1.58 with four loads traded. Blocks are back to the level they were on March 18 with barrels back to the highest level since Jan. 13. Cash prices still have yet to make a breakout, but optimism is growing under the market. Butter price posted a third consecutive day of price decline, down 1.75 cents and closing at $1.8150 with nine loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price gained a penny, closing at $1.1925 with two loads traded. Dry whey price remained steady at 66 cents. Class III futures are unchanged to 48 cents higher. May through August contracts are trading over $19.00. Class IV futures are steady to 9 cents higher. Butter futures are 1.50 cents lower to 0.72 cent higher. Dry whey futures are 0.25 cent lower to 0.98 cent higher.
