Block cheese price increased 4.25 cents closing at $1.7325 with 3 loads traded. Barrel cheese price gained 4.25 cents closing at $1.5075 with 5 loads traded. Barrels did move to $1.51 at one point during spot trading but slipped back into the close. The inability of price to hold the high might be responsible for some of the hesitancy of traders to buy milk futures aggressively. Butter price gained 1.25 cents closing at $1.69 with 4 loads traded. Similar to barrels, price is increase to $1.6925, but was unable to hold that price. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained unchanged at $1.1775 with no loads traded. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 58 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are 13 cents lower to 12 cents higher. Class IV futures are unchanged. Butter futures are steady to 1.00 cent lower. Dry whey futures are 0.15 cent lower to 0.30 cent higher.
