Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese and Butter Prices Remain Steady

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 4 Lower
SOYBEANS: 3 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $0.20 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.77 Lower
DOW JONES: 199 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 83 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $0.01 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

The block cheese price remained unchanged at $1.3475 with three loads traded. The barrel cheese price remained unchanged at $1.4125 with no loads traded. There has only been one load of barrels traded in nearly five weeks. The dry whey price increased 1.50 cents to close at 76.00 cents with two loads traded. Dry whey continues to support Class III futures. Class III contracts are 6 cents lower to 11 cents higher. The butter price remained unchanged at $1.4775 for the third consecutive day with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk increased 0.50 cent to close at $1.17 with three loads traded. Class IV futures have not yet been traded. Butter futures are steady to one cent higher. Dry whey futures are 0.25 cent lower to 0.97 cent higher. Cheese futures are 0.20 cent lower to 1.20 cents higher.
