The trade activity in spot block cheese was interesting with the price declining 3 cents and then rebounding. The price declined by 0.50 cent closing at $1.7750 with four loads traded. The barrel cheese price declined 5.50 cents initially before rebounding to close at $1.81 with four loads traded. However, the price rebounding from the lows did nothing to support milk futures. Further pressure resulted from the dry whey price declining 3.75 cents closing at 70 cents with four loads traded. The price moved to the lowest level since Nov. 26, 2024. Class III futures are 38 cents lower to 1 cent higher with the only gain being in the January contract. The butter price declined 1.25 cents closing at $2.5225 with three loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk gained 0.50 cents closing at $1.3525 with no loads traded. Class IV futures have not yet been traded. Butter futures are 2.50 cents lower to 0.52 cent higher. Dry whey futures are steady to 3.75 cents lower.
