Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Dry Whey, Nonfat Dry Milk Prices Decline

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 4 Lower
SOYBEANS: 12 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $8.20 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $0.30 Lower
DOW JONES: 192 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 139 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $0.46 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Both blocks and barrels remained unchanged at $1.6150 and $1.5750, respectively, with no loads traded in either category. There were only offers for two loads of barrels posted with no bids. The traders did not find any consolation in steady cheese prices. The dry whey price declined a penny to 49 cents with no loads traded. Class III milk futures are 17 cents lower to 1 cent higher. Butter price remained unchanged at $2.77 with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price declined 2 cents, closing at $1.22 with one load traded. Class IV futures are mixed, ranging from 5 cents lower to 1 cent higher. Butter futures are unchanged to 2.95 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 0.17 to 1.02 cents lower.
