Friday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Spot Prices Fall Back

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 4 Lower
SOYBEANS: 6 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $8.20 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.50 Lower
DOW JONES: 85 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 40 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $0.58 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price declined 3.75 cents closing at $1.9250 with three loads traded. Barrel cheese price declined 4 cents closing at $1.8275 with two loads traded. There was an uncovered offer for a load of blocks and three uncovered offers for a load of barrels and an unfilled bid for a load of barrels remaining at the end of the trading period. Dry whey price declined 0.75 cent closing at 30.25 with two loads traded. Class III futures are 10 cents lower to 5 cents higher. Butter price declined 5 cents closing at $2.68 with eight loads traded. There were four unfilled bids and one uncovered offer remaining at the close of trading. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained unchanged at $1.10 with no loads traded. Class IV futures are 1-19 cents lower with trading confined to October through December contracts. Butter futures are 2.50-4.00 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.32-1.50 cents lower.
