MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:
Block cheese price declined 0.50 cent, closing at $1.9850 with no loads traded. There was an unfilled bid and uncovered offer remaining at the close. The concern is similar to what we saw with barrels Monday. The bid was down at $1.80, indicating that might be where price may need to move to for doing business. Barrel cheese price remained unchanged at $1.9525 with no loads traded and no buyers or sellers showing up to do any business. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 44.75 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are 10 cents lower to a penny higher with the only gain seen in the November contract. Butter price declined 0.50 cent, closing at $2.4050 with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price declined 1.25 cents, closing at $1.1550 with no loads traded. Class IV futures have only traded in the April contact 8 cents lower. Butter futures are steady to a penny higher. Dry whey futures are steady to 1.02 cents lower.
