Friday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Strength in Spot Prices

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 0.50 Higher
SOYBEANS: 2 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $6.10 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.35 Higher
DOW JONES: 164 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 162 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $2.09 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Cheese blocks continued their decline, moving 1 penny lower to $1.8650 with two loads traded. Barrels increased 3 cents, closing at $1.6300 with seven loads traded. Class III futures were 2 cents lower to 2 cents higher, while Class IV futures were 8 to 10 cents higher. Butter price moved 1.50 cents higher to $2.3750 with 15 loads traded. Futures for butter were 1.5 to 5 cents higher. Grade A nonfat dry milk increased 3.50 cents to $1.2450 with eight loads traded. Dry whey price moved 1.50 cents higher, closing at $0.4150 with no loads traded. Futures for dry where were 3 cents higher.
