Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Butter Falls Back

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 6 Lower
SOYBEANS: 2 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $1.20 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.02 Lower
DOW JONES: 272 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 53 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $2.34 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price slipped 0.50 cents closing at $2.0250 with no loads traded. Barrel cheese price remained unchanged at $1.9850 with no loads traded. No buyers showed up in the market. Dry whey price declined a penny closing at 43.50. with two loads traded. This could be viewed as bearish, but traders seem to think otherwise pushing Class III futures significantly higher. Contracts are ranging from unchanged to 46 cents higher. Butter price fell to $2.80, a decline of 7 cents with one load traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained unchanged at $1.3850 with no loads traded. Class IV futures are 11 cents lower to 10 cents higher. Butter futures are 1.52 lower to 1.00 cents higher. Dry whey futures are steady to 2.50 cents lower.
