Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Barrels Move Higher

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 14 Higher
SOYBEANS: 17 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $11.10 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.55 Higher
DOW JONES: 493 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 161 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $1.18 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price held steady at $2.0525 with two loads traded. Barrels cheese price increased 6.75 cents closing at $2.17 with 3 loads traded. Buyers were aggressive with barrels leaving three unfilled bids remaining at the close. The bearish implications of the milk production report did not carry over into the physical purchase of cheese. Buyers and sellers took care of business as was needed. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 45.50 cents with no loads traded. Butter price slipped 0.25 cents closing at $3.15 with one load traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained unchanged at $1.56 with no loads traded. Class III futures are 2 cents lower to 36 cents higher. Class IV futures are 8-19 cents lower. Butter futures are 0.50-3.37 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.02-1.17 cents lower.
