Friday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Markets Are Looking Up

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 19 Higher
SOYBEANS: 11.25 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $22.70 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $1.375 Higher
DOW JONES: 371 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 250 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $3.31 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Cheese blocks were up 6.75 cents to $1.9175 with one load traded. Barrel price remained unchanged at $1.9325 with one load traded. Milk futures saw a little bit of a jump. Some contracts still retain gains as there are expectations for the market to hold. Butter price increased 2.25 cents to $3.1700 with eight loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk took a penny to increase to $1.5750 with 17 loads traded. Nonfat dry milk continues its abnormal trading volume from Thursday. Dry whey was up 0.75 cent to $0.4575 with four loads traded. Class III milk futures were 5 cents lower to 49 cents higher. Class IV futures were unchanged to 9 cents higher. Butter futures were 3 to 4 cents higher. Dry whey futures were unchanged to a penny lower.
