Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cash Prices Push Higher

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 7 Lower
SOYBEANS: 1 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $2.10 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $0.72 Lower
DOW JONES: 71 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 205 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $1.41 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price increased 5 cents, ending at $2.0650 with three loads traded. Barrel cheese price gained 7.25 cents with three loads traded. There was an unfilled bid and an uncovered offer for a load of blocks remaining at the close with nothing remaining for barrels. Buyers continued to remain aggressive as they look for product. Butter price increased 6 cents, closing at $2.71 with three loads traded. An uncovered offer remained at the close of trading with the price 2 cents higher than the close. Grade A nonfat dry milk price increased 2.25 cents, ending at $1.6675 with eight loads traded. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 75.25 with no loads traded. Class III futures are 10 cents lower to 54 cents higher. Class IV futures are 10 to 81 cents higher. Butter futures are 1 cent lower to 15 cents higher with February and March limit up. Dry whey futures are 0.47 cent lower to 1.75 cents higher. USDA will release the December Federal Order prices Wednesday.
