Monday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Traders Remain Optimistic

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 5 Lower
SOYBEANS: 14 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $9.80 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.40 Lower
DOW JONES: 93 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 121 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $0.99 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price remained unchanged at $1.98 with no loads traded. No one showed up to do any business. Barrel cheese price increased 0.25 cent, closing at $1.7125 with one load traded. There were no unfilled bids or uncovered offers remaining at the close. Class III futures came off their highs prior to spot trading and have remained there generally ever since. Futures are higher with contracts ranging from 2 to 31 cents higher. Class IV futures are 1 to 25 cents higher. Butter price increased 3.75 cents, closing at $2.49 with no loads traded. There were two unfilled bids remaining at the close of trading. Grade A nonfat dry milk declined a penny ending at $1.6450 with no loads traded. Dry whey price increased 0.25 cent, closing at 75.25 cents with one load traded. Butter futures are 1.52 cents lower to 1.05 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 0.72 cent lower to 0.50 cent higher.
