Block cheese initially fell 4 cents before the first of four loads traded. Buyers then turned more aggressive with price moving back to unchanged when the market closed. Price closed at $1.80 with four loads traded and an unfilled bid remaining at the close. Barrel cheese price was not as fortunate with price closing down 2.75 cents at $1.5150 with one load traded and an uncovered offer remaining at the close. Butter price remained unchanged at $1.71 with no loads traded and an unfilled bid remaining below the market. Grade A nonfat dry milk price slipped 0.25 cent, ending at $1.17, with five loads traded. Dry whey price increased 0.75 cent to 60.50 with one load traded. This is the highest whey price in a long time. Class III milk futures are 15 cents lower to one cent higher. Class IV have not yet traded. Butter futures are 1 cent lower to 0.10 cent higher. Dry whey futures are steady to 0.38 cent lower.
