MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:
The block cheese price increased 6.75 cents closing at $1.89 with six loads traded. The barrel cheese price increased 5 cents closing at $1.89 with one load traded. The block cheese price has been very volatile over the past week as buyers and sellers take care of business in dramatic fashion. Two unfilled bids for blocks remained at the close of spot trading. The dry whey price remained unchanged at 73.75 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are 6 cents lower to 23 cents higher. The butter price decreased 3.25 cents closing at $2.5350 with four loads traded. There were five unfilled bids and three uncovered offers remaining at the close. Grade A nonfat dry milk remained steady at $1.3675 with no loads traded. Class IV futures are 13 cents lower to 30 cents higher. Butter futures are 6.50 cent lower to 0.90 cent higher. Dry whey futures are steady to 2.02 cents lower.
