Monday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Block Cheese Price Jumps

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

LIVE CATTLE: $1.05 Lower
DOW JONES: 219 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 168 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $2.64 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

The block cheese price jumped 9 cents closing at $1.91 with three loads traded. This is the highest price since Nov. 1, 2024. The barrel cheese price gained 3 cents closing at $1.88 with two loads traded. There was an unfilled bid for a load of blocks with an uncovered offer for a load of blocks and two loads of barrels. The dry whey price remained steady at 74 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are unchanged to 44 cents higher. The butter price increased 1.25 cents closing at $2.6125 with 16 loads traded. There were three unfilled bids and three uncovered offers remaining at the close. Grade A nonfat dry milk remained unchanged at $1.3650 with four loads traded. Class IV futures are steady to 10 cents higher. Butter futures are 0.50 cent lower to 1.00 cent higher. Dry whey futures are holding steady.
