Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Milk Futures Rebound

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 6 Higher
SOYBEANS: 19 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $0.40 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $1.55 Lower
DOW JONES: 9 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 16 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $0.17 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

The block cheese price increased by 0.25 cent, closing at $1.97 with one load traded. The barrel cheese price remained unchanged at $1.94 with one load traded. An unfilled bid and uncovered offer remained at the close in each category. The dry whey price remained unchanged at 49 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures show double-digit gains in the July through November contracts reversing some of the losses of Tuesday. The butter price declined 3.50 cents, closing at $3.1050 with nine loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk remained steady at $1.18 with two loads traded. Class IV futures have not yet been traded. Butter futures are 0.47 to 1.50 cents lower. Dry whey futures have only traded one contract in July.
