MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:
Block cheese price remained steady, closing at $1.61 with nine loads traded. Barrel cheese price also remained steady, closing at $1.61, even with the barrel price yet again today, with four loads traded. The were two unfilled bids for blocks remaining at the close with no offer remaining. Barrels had two bids and two offers remaining. Dry whey price increased 0.25 cent, closing at 38.25 cents with five loads traded. High interest was again today with 20 bids remaining and only one offer remaining at the close.
Class III futures are 15 cents to 22 cents lower. Butter decreased 1.5 cents to $2.9250. Grade A nonfat dry milk price decreased by 0.75 cent again today, closing at $1.12 with one load traded. Class IV futures are flat to 14 cents lower. Butter futures are 0.35 cents to 3 cents lower. Dry whey futures are steady to 25 cents lower.
