Monday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Slightly Positive Start to Week

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 3 Lower
SOYBEANS: 15 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $0.20 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $2.60 Higher
DOW JONES: 45 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 60 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $1.00 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price increased 3.25 cents, closing at $1.5675 with two loads traded. Barrel cheese price remained unchanged, closing at $1.5725 with one load traded. The were three unfilled bids for blocks remaining at the close with one offer remaining. Barrels had two bids and two offers remaining, unable to agree on middle ground for a price Monday. Dry whey price remained unchanged, closing at 36 cents with nine loads traded. Class III futures are 4 cents to 44 cents higher. Butter had absolutely no interest Monday, remaining unchanged with no bids or offers and no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price decreased by 0.75 cent, closing at $1.1350 with one load traded. Class IV futures are 8 to 12 cents higher with limited activity so far Monday. Butter futures are 1.25 cents lower to 0.50 cent higher. Dry whey futures are steady to 0.75 cent higher.
