Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Butter Falls During Early Trading

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 4 Lower
SOYBEANS: 19 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $2.30 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $0.47 Lower
DOW JONES: 25 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 2 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $0.55 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price increased 2 cents, closing at $1.60 with no loads traded. Barrel cheese price increased 2.50 cents, closing at $1.5175 with three loads traded. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 39.50 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are mixed, ranging from 3 cents lower to 8 cents higher. Butter decreased 4 cents, closing at $2.46 with one load traded. This moves the price back to its July level. Grade A nonfat dry milk increased a penny to $1.1725 with one load traded. Class IV futures are mixed with contracts 11 cents lower to 5 cents higher. Butter futures are 0.02 to 5.50 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.75 cent lower.
