MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Both blocks and barrel cheese prices remained unchanged with no loads traded. Only an unfilled bid for a load of blocks remained at the close of spot trading with no interest from sellers today. This is very unusual due to the significant interest the market has been generating. Dry whey price increased 0.50 cent with no loads traded and five unfilled bids remaining at the close. Even with dry whey showing minor strength and cheese price remaining steady, Class III futures could not find support. Current prices are 1-25 cents lower with October showing the greatest loss. Butter price remained unchanged at $2.3625 with no loads traded and one unfilled bid remaining at the close. No sellers showed up to do anything today. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained steady at $1.16 with no loads traded. Class IV futures have traded only in the August contract and that is 2 cents higher. Butter futures are 0.47-0.67 cent lower. Dry whey futures are steady to 0.17 cent lower.
