Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - All Spot Prices Decline

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 2 Lower
SOYBEANS: 7 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $5.90 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $0.82 Higher
DOW JONES: 46 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 160 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $0.17 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price declined 0.25 cents, closing at $1.8125 with eight loads traded. Barrel cheese price declined 4.25 cents, closing at $1.75 with one load traded. Dry whey price declined 3 cents, closing at 41 cents with eight loads traded. Dry whey has broken below the sideways range it has been in since mid-February and is down to the lowest level it has been since Feb. 2. Class III futures are 8 cents lower to 4 cents higher with front month April showing the only gain. Butter price declined a penny, closing at $2.3175 with three loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price declined 3 cents, closing at $1.13 with two loads traded. Nonfat dry milk is now at the lowest price it has been since Feb. 25, 2021. Class IV futures are 17 to 33 cents lower. Butter futures are 0.02 to 1.50 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.30 to 1.07 cents lower. USDA will announce the March Federal Order class prices Wednesday afternoon.
