Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Butter Drops Back

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 7 Lower
SOYBEANS: 13 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $9.50 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $0.42 Higher
DOW JONES: 186 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 119 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $0.05 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price declined a penny to $1.88 with no loads traded. Barrel cheese price declined 1.75 cents, closing at $1.5375 with 13 loads traded. There were two uncovered offers remaining for blocks at the close with four unfilled bids and one uncovered offer of barrels. The weakness of barrels Wednesday moved price to the lowest level since Nov. 29, 2021. This does not bode well for the market. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 43.50 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are steady to 11 cents lower. Butter price declined for the first time in three weeks, posting a loss of 3.75 cents, closing at $2.42 with one load traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained steady to $1.2275 with no loads traded. Class IV futures show one trade taking place in July $1.02 lower. The rest of the contracts post a wide bid and offer. Butter futures steady to 5.02 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 1.12 cents lower to 0.15 cent higher.
