Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Spot Cheese Declines

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 3.50 Lower
SOYBEANS: 2 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $6.00 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $0.12 Lower
DOW JONES: 194 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 21 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $0.72 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Spot cheese continued its downward trend. Blocks closed at $1.8350, moving 1.50 cents lower with two loads traded. Barrels declined 1.50 cents to $1.5850 with five loads traded. Class III futures were 4 to 5 cents lower. Butter price closed at $2.3950, increasing 1.50 cents with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk moved 1.50 cents lower to $1.2350 with four loads traded. Class IV futures were unchanged to 24 cents lower. Dry whey increased 1.50 cents to close at $0.4300 with one load traded. Nonfat dry milk futures were 0.15 to 1.95 cents lower.
