Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Price Movement, But No Cash Trading Activity

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 3 Higher
SOYBEANS: 19 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $12.00 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.37 Higher
DOW JONES: 6 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 53 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $2.07 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price slipped 0.25, closing with no loads traded. Barrel cheese price remained unchanged at $1.92 with no loads traded. Dry whey price declined 1.50 cents, closing at 44.25 with no loads traded. Class III futures are showing significant losses with contracts 3 to 46 cents lower. Butter price declined 1.25 cents, closing at $2.8875 with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price increased a penny, closing at $1.3825 with no loads traded. It is rare to see no trading activity across all categories. Class IV futures are 2 to 6 cents higher. Butter futures are 2.79 cents lower to 2.48 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 0.50 to 2.00 cents lower. October dairy exports were 9.0% above a year ago, continuing the pattern of strong growth.
