Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Update - Spot Prices Creep Higher

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 5 Higher
SOYBEANS: 7 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $0.90 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.22 Higher
DOW JONES: 17 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 189 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $1.17 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price increased 1.75 cents, closing at $2.2250 with no loads traded. Sellers did not show up to do any business. Barrel cheese price remained unchanged at $2.0525 with three loads traded. Price moved 0.25 cent lower and 0.25 cent higher during trading. There were no unfilled bids or uncovered offers remaining at the close. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 44 cents. Butter price increased a penny to $2.94 with no loads traded. There were two unfilled bids remaining at the close. Grade a nonfat dry milk price increased 3.50 cents closing at $1.4650 with nine loads traded. There was an unfilled bid and 5 uncovered offers remaining at the close of trading. Class III futures were higher prior to spot trading and are currently 6 cents lower to 14 cents higher. Class IV futures are 1 to 17 cents higher. Butter futures are steady to 5.25 cents higher. Dry whey futures have not yet traded. The Global Dairy Trade auction trade weighted average increased 2.4% Tuesday.
