MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:
Block cheese price increased 0.75 cent, closing at $2.2075 with no loads traded. Barrel cheese price declined a penny, closing at $2.0525 with one load traded. This leaves price direction in confusion. Class III futures are reflecting that with mixed trade ranging from 14 cents lower to 12 cents higher. Butter price increased 2.50 cents, closing at $2.93 with no loads traded. There were two unfilled bids remaining at the close. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained unchanged at $1.43 with no loads traded. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 44 cents with no loads traded. Class IV futures are mixed in very light trade with contracts 3 cents lower to 11 cents higher. Butter futures are steady to 6.87 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 0.50 cent lower.
