Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Price Continues to Decline

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 10 Higher
SOYBEANS: 29.50 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $6.00 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $1.65 Higher
DOW JONES: 318 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 100 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $0.20 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Spot cheese prices continued their decline. Blocks fell 2.50 cents to $2.3350 with one load traded, while barrels fell 5.25 cents to $2.3425 with no loads traded. Butter was up 0.25 cent, closing at $2.7200 with four loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk closed at $1.7925, slipping 0.50 cent. Dry whey was unchanged at $0.6350 with no loads traded. Class III futures are 4 to 67 cents lower, staying below the $25.00 mark. Class IV futures are unchanged to 23 cents lower, staying over $25.00. Butter futures are unchanged to 2.9 cents lower. Dry whey futures are up $0.22 to $2.00 lower.
