Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Spot Prices Decline

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 9 Lower
SOYBEANS: 7 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $0.80 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.70 Higher
DOW JONES: 393 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 229 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $5.25 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price declined 3.75 cents, closing at $2.36 with one load traded. There were no unfilled bids or uncovered offers remaining at the close. Barrels declined 2 cents, ending at $2.3950 with four loads traded. Dry whey price declined 0.50 cent, ending at 63.50 cents with 3 loads traded. Butter price declined 2.25 cents, closing at $2.7175 with eight loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price declined 2.50 cents, ending at $1.7975 with three loads traded. Class III futures were under pressure prior to spot trading but have shown further weakness due to the declines of spot prices. Class III contracts are 3 to 75 cents lower. Class IV futures are unchanged to 55 cents lower. Butter futures are 1.05 to 4.00 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.47 to 1.50 cents lower.
