Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Mixed Spot Prices

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 7.25 Higher
SOYBEANS: 18.75 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $3.81 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.75 Higher
DOW JONES: 169.43 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 274.74 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $1.43 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Barrel cheese price increased a penny, closing at $1.6700 with 10 loads traded. Block cheese price declined 3.5 cents, closing at $1.9450 with two loads traded. Butter price remained unchanged at $2.0600 with no load traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk fell 1.225 cents to $1.6425 with one load traded, while Class IV is 10 to 15 cents lower. Dry whey was unchanged at $0.7125 with no loads traded. Class III futures are 4 to 10 cents lower. Butter futures are 0.25 to 1.50 cents lower. Dry whey futures saw no movement, remaining in the 64.95 to 67.25 range.
