Block cheese price declined 3.25 cents closing at $1.6425 after two days of remaining steady. There were no loads traded with 2 uncovered offers remaining at the close. This does not bode well for the market. Barrels plummeted 9 cents settling at $1.57 with 5 loads traded. There were 2 unfilled bids and 2 uncovered offers remaining at the close. This was nearly identical with the movement and remaining bids or offers of Tuesday. This hit Class III futures hard again with futures steady to 30 cents lower. December and January showing the greatest pressure. Butter set back declining 4 cents closing at $1.94 with 6 loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained unchanged at $1.5650 with 3 loads traded. Dry whey increased 0.50 cent closing at 65 cents helping to offset some of the negativity of declining cheese. Class IV futures are mixed from 9 cents lower to 8 cents higher. Butter futures are 1.00 cent lower to 1.25 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 1.25 cents lower to 0.50 cent higher. USDA will announce the October Federal Order class prices Wednesday.
